Water Drop Test

Natural stone needs to be resealed every two to three years in order to protect it from stains. Have you asked yourself, "How do I know when I need to reseal my stone countertop, floor, or shower?" This simple Water Drop Test can help you find out! 

Water Drop Test

1. Drop a teaspoon of water on the surface of the stone

2. Leave the water for 15 minutes

Results: 

If the stone absorbs the water within 4 minutes, or darkens the stone, then resealing is needed! 

If the water is still visible on the surface of the stone after 15 minutes, the stone does not need resealing!
